Eat your carp out! Part II

I almost feel bad to start a thread to post one pic...but this one I feel is worthy to stand alone. I won't bore you with a longwinded report about all the fish we ripped tonight. This was the gamewinner. Looks like I'm makin sandwiches....again.

My hats off to the Bloody Hand. He broke three personal records tonight. Biggest largemouth, biggest carp, and biggest fish of his fishing career. Way to go bud!

That thing is an absolute BEAST.   You guys always seem to catch fish when you go out and have lots of good posts about it.  I just hope that in 3 days of fishing, I can catch SOMETHING up there.  Heading up tomorow.... Looking for smallies off the mouth of 20 mile creek. haha, i will be the suicidal guy in a kayak......

"A Homewood man led police on an hourlong car chase that ended with a crash injuring three officers.

"The car was driving itself," Wright said. "The car has a GPS. It's a Lincoln Navigator. They drive themselves. I wasn't running nowhere."

Excellent fish! Even better you are actually holding it correctly. Did you get a chance to weigh it at all?

Didn't get to weigh or measure the fish. Just getting him out of the water was quite the show. He beat the crap out of me and soaked me. He really didn't care to pose for the hero shot either...and slapped Bloody around a bit as well. He wanted back in the water pretty badly, and we were ready to let him.  I'm no good at guessin weight...it was HEAVY.

I came home last night and grabbed my cat. He has 3 legs and weighs 23 pounds. The fish was way heavier. I imediately went into the weight room and loaded 40 lbs. onto my curl bar. Now we're talking. But I still think the fish was heavier. Put 50 lbs. on it and that seemed a lil heavier than the fish. So I got that sucker ( I mean carp ) between 40 and 50 lbs.

Ya probably won't believe it....He just about INHALED a 2/5 oz blue/silver cleo. The fish (bass, carp, pike) were breaking all over the water where we were bass fishin'. He smashed that spoon like it was raw meat....and came unglued after that. It really was something to see that big fish bust the water for a spoon on the surface. Something I'll remember 4ever, and it ain't even my fish.

Great fish.  How long did the battle last?  It had to take quite a while.

Thanks for the kind words JSweiner.... For the record....I've busted em on spinners, spoons, and another board member smacked a hog on a rapala a few weeks ago. I suppose you fish with unicorn horns. God bless, and happy fishin. May the curse of the gobies rob your bait for next 777 days.

CatchinFish...my buddy was in a good 12-15 minutes. Both of us grinnin ear to ear the whole time. I'm one of those guys that's happier to see you wack one, than myself.

That is a good one for sure.  I agree with carpin, probably about 25#.  I doesn't have the girth to push 30, I don't believe.

By the looks of the pic, I can see why you guys would say the fish was in the 20's. If it was in a paylake or res., I'd agree. But these Erie fish are HEAVY. It's in the 30's, I'd bet money on it!
