Good deed I must say thanks for!

Sir, if your out there............

I have to thank you for allowing me and my 3 year old daughter to have the place you were standing along Prather creek, Venango Co. I hope in some way you are rewarded for your unselfish act.

The short story..........I took my daughter to a local and very small stream last evening after work. It was stocked yesterday morning. When we show up there is a guy standing at about the only place there was fish, this is a small stream and being that it's very low now, the PAFBC puts more fish in deeper sections, this isn't one of them. When she and I are walking across a small bridge to peer down into the water, my daughter asks me if we are going to fish there. I explain to her that we have to wait for the man to finish because there was only room for 1 fisherman there (due to the bridge, low water, a log across the stream and steep bank at that place). I know this guy could not have heard us but he did look up and see us. He immediately told me to bring her down to where he was standing......then promptly packed up and walked up the bank. I was quite dumbfounded. It's been a long long time since I fished for stocked trout but of course now will having the little one.
I carried our stuff down the bank, then my daughter, sitting her on a nice big rock beside the stream.
She ended up reeling in 4 trout in about 45 mins, we kept 3 for a meal because she wanted to eat them. Since I had to attend a meeting at 7PM we didn't have a whole lot of time so after about an hour and 15 mins we packed up and headed home. She laughed and giggled the whole time, when she was reeling the fish in, when she was putting maggots in her coat pocket (mom loved that), when she saw how small the minnows were in my bucket, when she carried her 3 fish to the truck then screamed for my wife to look at them when we got home.

It's nice to see that there are still people in the world who remember that the kids are our future.....whoever you are, thanks again.

    Should be mandatory.
