SLEPT IN TODAY

I set the alarm clock for 3:45 when it went off i turned it off.I woked up at 5:33 luckly i didn't have far to go from the house.I got to the spot i ran down the well road now it's 5:50.I din't hear a thing for 5 minutes so i walked 200 more yards an tried the fliping the call upside down tricked.I got a instant response.I got set up the crows flew over crowing he would gobble.So i know he was still in the tree i gave him a few tree yelps he didn't gobble.I waited a few minutes an gave him one soft cluck he gobble.I thought maybe try a fly down cackle in the middle of it he gobbles.I know now i passed as a real hen 10 minutes went by then i see him fly down 80 yards in front of me.I purred and clucked at him he started yelping.Then i turnt my head an gave him the softest 3 yelps i could of gave him he gobbles(Thanks Griff for the p sound).He was on his way in on a string he got to about 35 yards i should of killed him there but it was kind of thick.I thought what's the since i'll leave him get to the gas well road but did i screw up.He either saw me or no hen he started to get nervous then he cut back up over the hill so a puted his head poped up an i shot low an behold to see him fly away ranged it after i shot 47 yards.I wish i had to do it over again i won't of shot and i would of used a coy.How long should i give this spot to calm down?

Give it a day or two see if he Gobbles. You may also look around the area he may be dead.
