Great fun, mate. Was wondering though - is there anyone here brave enough to actually EAT anything out of there?

I have only fished it a couple of times. the Crappies that I did catch ,I didn't hesitate to eat. I guess if Chauncy is still ok, then I don't have to worry about it. He is the Crappie King.

My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!

Hey Guys, I was thinking about a trip to Shenango from Erie on May 10 and was wondering where the preferred bait shops are located and also the location of launch ramps. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The bait shop on 18(Bills) doesn,t open till 8 on weekdays and at 7 on Sat. Sundays I,m not sure.
There is another bait shop across the causeway in Clarksville.
To get there, from coming from the north, is to go over the lake then take a rt. at the light. Cross over 18 and go a mile.
You will see a rd. with a sharp bend on your rt. The shop is in the basement on the corner.
The bite was slow yesterday but we did manage some nice slabs after some looking.
    Good luck.

Also you can launch near the bait shop in clark.
As you come across 18, you will see a fancy hotel, restrant,(Tara) on the corner.
Turn lt. beside this and the launch is besides the bridge going over the lake.

mika, there is one at five points also, but it is off the beaten track for guys coming up 80 or 18.  only bad thing is that they run out of minnies on sundays.  waxworms also.

cold weekend up there, did manage to catch a few. the smallmouth were really hitting though, the most I ever caught up there. I did hear that they have cut way back on employes, so they don't think the patrol will be on the water as much.
