Twin Lakes?

Has anyone fished for carp there this year? Not sure if I should make a trip on Monday or not.

Life's a b***h. You've got to go out and kick**** :P

i know the carp were hitting out there back in march when the water started to warm.  i havent heard about anybody catching them out there lately though.  with the temps in the 80's this weekend it would probably be a good weekend to target carp.  you should try fishing St Vincent lake, that place is loaded with carp.

    ****.
I heard there were a couple carpers (Al & Bill) there Fri. and they managed a few carp, not sure if they were the silver kind like in the pic.  The place was polluted with trout fishers too from what I heard, so may not be the best time to go to Twin.
Maybe all those flying asian carp will take care of some of the trouters, especially the ones out in the paddle boats.

Is it open to the public and does it have catfish in it as well?  I am opening an office out there and it would be just minutes from my target location.  Could provide a great reprieve on some days.

St Vincent is open to the public.  It's full of carp, yellow bullheads, and small bluegill and crappie.  One side of the lake is lined with trees and almost impossible to fish from so I imagine that there has to be some nice bass in there as well.  Oh, and there are lots of snapping turtles in there.

In my experience there, the fish are either on or off, if I havent caught one after an hour or so, I usually move on. Every now and then they bite so good you cant keep em off your hook, though.
