Lake Arthur Catfish

I was wondering if anyone does any good there fishing from shore? Anything big or all dinks?

    You'll want to fish by the dam. Right around dark, with shiners or bluegills for bait.Put a slice down the side of the bluegill to leave a blood trail.

    There are a ton of 4-10 year old fish in the lake. The last 4 yrs. the stocking was cut to 16,000 per year. It's the most stocked water in Pa for Forked Tails as far as I know.
     
     The best time from shore seems to be right after the Meanmouths/Byrds are done feedin' & the baitfish are easy pickins. Gills,Shad,Shiners,Alwives,Chubs & suckers work best. Stay away from Crawlers (to many Bullheads)

    I don't think it matters where on the lake you are.  I catch these things all the **** time.  Two years ago I picked up a low 30's channel trolling a 10" Grandma for muskies.  I also have caught them frequently when fishing for stripers, just about anywhere on the lake.  Not my cup of tea but, there are plenty of them in the lake for those targetting them.
