new baitcasting rod reel

looking 4 a new rod reel combo for trolling and casting looking to spend 150
any suggesting

    med/heavy ugly stick @ $30

    Abu Gracia Ambassadeur 5500 Mag Elite @ $130

    sure it's over by $10 but it's a deadly combo.

    i agree, please be more specific.  It is hard to beat the proformance and price of the ugly stick though, spend the money on the real

    fishing the allengey casting throwing jigs for bass and eyes
    I found one of my dads old baitcaster reel it a ambasder 5000 made in Swenden
    a  old one but a good one I  going to use it for trolling  because the new ones cast alot easyer

    5000 is a good solid reel.  take it apart clean and lube it up with the new high perormance greases and oils.  as for a trolling rod, you want something with a moderate action and a medium power.  the ugly sticks fit this nicely.  also consider a longer than normal rod for trolling, atleast 8' to 10'.
