paradise lakes

I went to paradise lakes two or three times last year and the last time that i was there i ask the man in the office if i could use p.v.a. bags and he said what is that i tried to tell him but he didn't understand so i went out to my van and got a roll and a few bags of p.v.a and after explaning to him how you use them he told me that i couldn't use it because that would be chumming so i ask him just what is the differance between pack bait or over lay or under lay or any lay and p.v.a he said that packbait or under or over lay was on the hook and that the p.v.a wasan't and besides that if i was catching fish that the guy's would be complaining i think that was the dumbest thing that i have ever heard of the BATH TUB fishing paylakers complaining about someone catching a fish that might be bigger than the one that thy caught. I have caught a lot of fish in my time i am not the best fisherman nor am i the worst but i have never complained about someone catching a fish but there again i am not a paylaker nor am i in the group. So just what is the differance between p.v.a. and pack bait or under or over lay ? IT IS ALL CHUMMING !!!

Just like the man said!!!!!!Pack and or flake bait is on the hook and a melting bag full of bait is chumming......
    It's about the $$$$$$$.....
spend more time around the pay lake and see how the game is played and you will understand!!!!!!
If you throw a bunch of bait in front of you then you are the bath tub fisherman!!!!!!!

You evidently don't know much about p.v.a. or you would know that the exact same thing goes in both bukghur wheat, oat meal, bird seeds, any flavor that you like you just don't use water to moisten it. So if you are going to use pack bait that is as big around as your fist to chum with then why shouldn't i us p.v.a.   It simply melts away with no harm at all to the lake and no more free bait left on the bottom than your pack bait.

Thats kinda dumb to be honest. YOu can thread it on just like a packbait almost and it would be a faster breaker depending on water temps.Maybe he was expecting you to lob out a giant ball or something.

    Bill is that you??

First off what are you exactly putting in your PVA that might be why they don't want you to use it?

Learning to fish the pickup, overlay, and underlay will catch you more fish any how at a paylake. Instant cloud of attraction!  PVA melts too slow in my opinon for paylaking (don't know what brand and melt time your using? Cause it does vary.)

Paylakes got some crazy rules but when it comes down to it. It's all about the $$$$.

Been playing with a combination instant potatos, oats, millet, quick grits, and a secret kick  for this year. Might try a different pickup too.

Mountian Man  Yes it is me the one and only.   I am just trying to make a point pack bait and p.v.a. bags are one in the same thing i can put most anything in a one inch around by four inch long p.v.a. bag as long as i don't use too much water when mixing it.  You know me no pun intended but when it comes to bait of any kind i don't leave to much out of the bag.L>O>L I don't use p.v.a in cold water but in warm water it will melt down in less than 1 min. just depends on what kind you are useing. As far as the money it will be a cold day when  i let that get in the way of me haveing a good time fishing i don't have time to worry about someone catching a bigger fish than me more power to them.

Well all of that stuff PVA, overlay and underlay, packbaits, and method mixes make a nice little chum area around the hookbait.  Your right they all do the same basic thing wouldn't see the problem using them anywhere.  I used PVA bags already at Seghi's Paylake never was told that I couldn't use them. Maybe the guy more than likely never heard of PVA and didn't fully understand how it works usually the same type of people that gripe about 12ft rods, big landing nets, and alarms.  I had amost every piece of gear I haul condemed by everyone one way or another because its not something they are used to and they believe it's illegal.

Also it's not chumming...it's strategic baiting

It's all pretty much the same thing, except for one thing-----it's different.  Hope that clears things up.

I AM THE ONE THAT YOU SPOKE TO AT PARADISE.  I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE BAGS THAT YOU USE.  THE REASON YOU CANNOT USE THEM IS BECAUSE THE HOOK IS NOT INSIDE THE BAIT AND EVEN IF THE BAG MELTS AWAY IN A MINUTE OR TWO THERE IS STILL A CHANCE OF THAT HOOK SNAGGING A CARP WITHIN THAT TIME FRAME.  IF YOUR BAIT IS AROUND YOUR HOOK WHEN THE BAIT MELTS YOUR HOOK IS IN THE CENTER NOT LAYING BESIDE IT.  MANY PEOPLE OVER THE YEARS HAVE USED WOMENS PANTY HOSE TO CHUM WITH AND  THE BAGS RESEMBLE PANTY HOSE.  THESE KINDS OF THINGS CAUSE A LOT OF HEADACHES FOR ME.  THANK YOU FOR ASKING FIRST AND IT SAYS ALOT ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER!  SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.  ANY RULES THAT WE HAVE ARE MADE BECAUSE AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER THERE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM.

Just to clear something up when you use pre made p.v.a bags everything goes in the bag including the hook bait which includes any bait that you might be using plus any slip sinker that you might use and the bag is not the size of a baggie it hold less than what you are putting on your hook for pack bait.
I appreciate para101 responding to the question in a responsible manor ( thank you ) But i see that you evidently have some customers that aren't  as smart as the carp that thy are fishing for and that is a pity.
