deep creek maryland...

anyone know anything about deep creek maryland ice fishing?  i know they have 15 inches of ice.

    I went to school there for 3 years.........and didn't ice fish once........shame on me......it is a great lake to ice fish........insane jumbo perch.......walleye........trout, you name it and you can catch it...........there are some HONKER bluegill in that lake..........all I know is that I caught plenty of fish from it while I was there........they used to have an ice fishing tournament........not sure if they do that anymore.........

    I was there last Sat and in most of the cove there was 8 to 9 inches of ice.  Going again tomorrow and Sat.  Last Sat 2 of us caught 20 perch 8 walleye and 3 pike.  2 keeper walleye and 15 jumbo perch.  6 perch were 13.5 to 14.5 inches.  What a great lake to ice fish.

    LOTSA nice fish in that lake !!....  My parents had a place there when I was a kid. Its where I learned to fish and to live(love) the outdoors......  Was there EVERY weekend as a youngen...
     
    Man... I really miss that place.....
     
    Caught a 30" walleye at age 12... been "hooked" ever since !!!
