ice conditions

A friend coming up for ice fishing Tuesday Feb 17.  Presque Isle Bay or Misery Bay.   How is the ice now?  -Sunday evening, Feb 15

    Marina is the only spot that I know of to have safe ice.

    Just drove by chestnut street @ 530 pm today 2-17-2009. 1 hut out there, not too far out. Looks like there is open water still off liberty street......

    What could be better than catching perch...
