    No sheds Andy.

I'll be honest, I don't really look for them much while in the woods.  The woods I hunt are just too big to go do a 'shed hunt.'  I stumble over a few every now and then .. they are certainly neat to find.  I do most of my scouting (walking) in the winter however.  I was out in those freezing days in February.   Just bored I guess.

I did find a bunch of trees like this one last week.

Found a small 8 pt. that had died (probably early archery timeframe).  Most of the skin was missing, but the rack and skull were in great condition.  I am going to remove the remaining skin this weekend.

I approach it like Silver does.  I've been out walking all month, but I dont specifically look for sheds.  Maybe I'll find some later in the spring, but I'd rather find a good stand site, truthfully.

Just saw a really nice buck this week, still sporting the hardware. Seems fairly late.

I live in an area that sees a lot of deer and occasionally a real slammer.  I used to shoot standard delta targets in the backyard and the bucks would tear them up.  Last year, I got two Glendel Full Ruts and the deer left them alone (other than the occasional sniff or light spar).  I came home today and found one of the deer snapped off of it's legs and the torso 20 yards into the woods.  There were BIG buck tracks in the mud.  I guess somebody hasn't dropped his headgear yet.LOL    For what it is worth, the wife won't let me even think about shooting the deer on our hill.  They are kind of like pets (they eat the food I throw and her plants when I don't), and there are several guys who swat them on the other side of the woodlot.  I have seen several that would go over 150 and I am heartbroken everytime, LMAO what a shame...

thats one of the nicest 7 points ive seen, what a shame, good mass and tine length , would have been a monster this fall , my guess is a poor placed rifle shot, deer went to water like they normally do when wounded and thats where he stayed till he expired, hunter probably followed blood till he lost it and gave up, thats typical, what a waste of a good deer.i wounded one once and that happened to me, lost blood searched for about an hour and gave up, went home and dad says isnt there a small stream in the next hollow over from where u were hunting, i say yea there is, he said i bet we go look there he is layin in the creek, and sure enough we started following the creek and there laid my buck submerged in the water.keep that in mind if in the future you make a bad shot and lose blood, find the closest water.

i just found a small shed yesterday. its the first one i ever found. scouting for turkey and i thought i would walk over to where i feed the deer and look around alittle maybe one lost some horn around the feed site, and i happened to find 1 on a good trail about 30 yards away. i kept looking but didnt find anymore. one was pretty exciting. gonna get out and look more next year.

I've found bucks hanging in trees along Connueat Creek before.  Odd seeing them up there.
