Blonde Squirrel

I shot a squirrel when I was about 15, about 7 years ago, around my hometown the Kittanning area. I was told that it was a blonde squirrel and it was a rare form of a grey. I got it mounted, I would put up a pic but I'm down at school and its at my parents house. I was reading the post about the black squirrels and it got me thinking about it. I really havent gotten much information on it and when I tell people they say they have never heard of it. Some say its just an albino but, I dont think it is. Its more of a blonde, no white, has normal colored eyes. It has a blondish red tint in some places but its smaller, the size of a grey not a fox. If I can get a pick I'll post it, but let me know if you guys have seen any or heard of any.

The second pic down looks about the same as the one that I have. The only one that I have ever seen, or my family has seen in PA is mine. Weird

    never seen a blonde squirrel.

I have seen a groundhog in a tree. I was archery hunting in November and it flushed out of a briar patch. It went 10 yards and straight up a tree. Same farm, different day we were hunting rabbits in January and jumped a groundhog from a briar patch.

    Thanks

Seen a couple of groundhogs sitting on the top of 4' or 5' high fence posts.

I too saw a groundhog probably 20 feet up in a tree.  I was carrying a treestand on my back when I shot, which I'll blame for missing it (with a bow).  It then jumped down out of the tree. He made a hasty exit and I've never seen another one in a tree.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

Had one that lived by the parking lot outside of work. He was in the crab apple tree just about every evening.

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Figured I would let you guys see my mount.  If I could find one of those blonde's I would add that one on in a heartbeat.  It's just too bad that the taxidermist screwed this mount all to heck.  The fox looks like an overgrown rat that was blown into next week, notice the ears(even though I told him not to mount it if it was bad).  And the grey has absolutely no hair left on it's underside from the mouth all the way back.  Guess who I won't be going back to see again.

jgut;   Just got my new issue of Pa. Outdoor News and on page 12 there is a great picture of a blond squirrel. It doesn't look to be an albino, but on the same page is a photo of a nice albino buck.
