Ice fishing tip that saved the day

Fished a local pond today. Ice fished this same pond once before and never had a hit. Hard to believe because during June I caught a pile of bass and sunfish. This morning for almost an hour nothing! Just to try something different I pulled all my lines about about 2 and half feet above the bottom. It worked!! Caught 16 largemouth,  5 big sunfish and missed a bunch in about 2 hours. Some times it pays to change things up. Hope this helps somebody else catch fish.    Good Luck!
