Kinzua

Anybody been fishing Kinzua Dam at all this ice fishing season? Doing any good?? and where at?? Thinking about makin a trip up there Friday morning if I get good reports...

    I fished chapel bay about 3 weeks ago, got 2 eyes at dark. I would say pick a place that is easy walking because the snow is knee deep right now up there. RT 59 is a bear to climb and sugar has steep banks too, I would say try the beach area past Casey's bridge.

    dont go to webbs either...the fishing sucked yesterday and we had to walk all the way in from the main road because of the snow

    Looks like we should have fished the beach area dmh after that horrible walk out of wolf run.

    yeh couldnt have been much worse either way...i read that article about the snow of the ice...that must have played a factor on the slow bite too

    Go to the Grizzly Gary site, lots of reports on ice conditons for the Kinzua area and tons of other info, great site, different forums etc.

    I'm going up to the zoo today, hope this sunshine brings me better luck. I am going up to the north end, hope to report fish landed..lol

    Just got back from Willow bay tonight. I caught 3 walleyes and a 27 inch pike. The top layer of ice was melting and it was a big slush field coming off. It looks like tomorrow will be a wet day out there.
