lake leboeuf?

Any reports on the ice thickness on Lake Leboeuf?  Any good areas or tips on where the musky are? heading there tommorow at first light.  thanks.

Big Baits = Big Fish  

Went out there today.  DON'T GET ON THE ICE NEAR AT NORTH BOAT LAUNCH.   I tried and stayed on the path that the snowmobiles used to get on and off and ended up with a wet leg.  Got on the ice near the bar.  Covered lots of water and nothing to brag about except one nice eye, 24 inches, a nice crappie and a bunch of missed "light" bites. 

Five of us were out and no pike/musky came out the ice.  Had about 20 tip-ups out and a huge area covered.  Fish that came into view of the camera were not intrested in feeding.  Its like mid winter deadlock hit early everywhere this year.

Ice is thick near the snow mobile tracks but some places, near shore and towards the middle, there was a sloppy ice/slush mix that made me a bit uneasy.  Ice is safe"ish" total ice was about 9 inches or better only 3.5 to 4 inches of which was good clear ice.  Hope for a big wind storm to blow the 10 inches of snow off the top to allow that top layer to freeze sloid.

It still exists, but sedimentation has taken its toll.  It's fishable, but is extremely shallow except where the creek channel runs through it.
