Any new Presque isle reports?
Sorry I started a new thread about it, just thought I get more attention.
Any new reports about ice conditions. How thick? is there much snow on top or did the wind do us a favor and blow it away? Is it the sloppy/slushy junk?

Ice is solid. No slush, if any it is around the shore. Guys all over today. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, stinkhole, 4th, both sides of the yacht club all the way to summerhiem and inbetween. Marina had guys in it all day, misery was packed.
The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

fished off of chestnut today. was quite a ways out and standing on about 5 or 6" of good ice. fishing wasn't so great, but i'll get back at it tomorrow.

The fishing off of the Yacht Club was slow today with only two small Perch in about two hours of fishing . Moved over to Misery where you could catch all of the medium sized bluegill that you wanted with the occasional Crappie mixed in. Cold and windy. Did anyone here of anyone getting into the Perch?

I will be targeting the perch in the usual spots sunday on the bay and maybe monday if i find em on sunday.

It was a good 6-8 solid ice everywhere. Stinkhole and off the yacht club had some spots with 2-5 inches. I was on about an inch and half - 2 inches in the stinkhole. Solid ice that held us but was not very comforting so I left.
The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

i found the perch after a ton of leg work. if you are not catching fish, move. they are there.

Yeah I found them to the only problem is they need a few more years to make the legal size to keep.

caught a lot of perch today. only 6 over 9" though. little appetizer with some smelts thrown in.

My guess is no. since all you have to do is drive around till you see the small town camped out on the ice.

welcome to the boards
as of sunday 1/18 not much snow but its supposed to snow here for next 6 days , as far as how much we will get has yet to be seen. a trace each day or feet , you now how that goes ,keep checking forecast good luck if you make the trip.

the fish are moving, saying where they are 1 day is different from the next. for instance yesterday my buddy had 15 perch over 10". marked the spot with his canister, went back this morning with his dad & our other buddy and only caught 6, dad 3 from sun up till 11am. Other buddy stayed till 3:30pm and had 11 but moved around some. largemouth are deinfitely there and hungry. but the perch are roaming.

caught 25 perch in 10 hours. did not move once. LIVELY emerald shiners on jigs. last perch of the day was 15 inches. smallest in bucket was 9.
where you ask? 15 fow, west of chestnut, but east of condos. sorry but i cannot be more specific.

went off of parking lot past stink hole. very sloooow. saw a couple good packs of jumbos but they wouldn't bite. They were actually swimming with the largemouth. Ton of sunnies & 4-6" perch. Moved around 3 times and amount of fish didn't get any better. Guess will see next wekeend. Only bad part is, ice will get thicker now since Thursday is only day to get over 30 degrees! Brrrr
