campgrounds

Looking for a campground on or near the Juniata river or some other waterway in central PA.  Trying to find a plce between Pittsburgh and York.  My buddies family lives in York and we are looking for something in between for a camping/fishing weekend.  Must have half decent facilities since the significant others will be coming along too.

Kinzua Dam is about 3 hours North between Warren and Bradford Pa on the NY boarder.
Willow Bay, Kiasutha and Red Bridge have bathrooms with showers.

If it rains or the fishing sucks there is allways the Senaca Casino in Salamanka NY on the North end.
It is a full casino not just video games.

There used to be a campground right on the Little J. It was on the Barree Rd. between Barree and SR 305 I think. I'm not sure what they had as far as facilities (sp) its been a few of years since I was by there. I used to have a phone number but I can't find it sorry. If I remember right it was run by a church group.

There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Don't know the condition but Duncanon Pa. has one right at the fork of Susquehana Ri and the Juniata Ri.   Its river front camp grounds or cunninghams. They also offer float trips. Take your boat or theres and drop you off for a float down fishing.
