Clam Guide WANTED

After asking what people thought about their Clam Guide shanties i am on the hunt to buy one.  Does anyone know of any stores in PA have the new ones, or if you would like to sell a used one I would consider going that route if it is in good shape.

If you have one to sell Email via Fisherie, or at my personal email gusgus637@yahoo.com

Thank you.

I was thinking the same thing Mr. Fly.  Hopefully i can find one with the 2 swivel seats.  I would much rather have that than a bench.

And thank you very much for the links Marty.

You won't be able to find one new with the swivel seats but they are new this year....THE BENCH SEATS SUCK!!!!   I just bought a Frabill Trekker DLX for $400 at Gander in Erie (drove from cleveland!)  I liked it better than the guide.  Best seats I saw and they come right out if you are going by yourself or just wanted to use it as a sled.  The seats, honestly, are 40 lbs together!

I really don't think a guide is necessary for "clamming". Just get a map, do a little walking, and watch what the other "clammers" are doing.

The Trekker is a nice shanty. I have a Fish Trap Pro. If I would have bought a 2-man it would have been a Frabill Trekker. It offers more room than the guide, better seats and is super light for a 2-man shanty. Plus the price is right.

How is the trekker for keeping heat in?

I think the only thing i really like about the Clam is the quick connect.  I fish with a bunch of buddies and its nice to hook the shanties up to each other.
