Fished the Susky today and did great!!

I know most people don't believe my posts but I have NO reason to lie. Fished today from 9:30 til 4:30. The slush was not too bad. It was cold but at least this week I didn't get wet. Saw 2 boats and 1 guy on shore. I landed 35 Smallmouth(2 biggest were 21 inches both close to 6 lbs) 5 Musky( biggest was only 30 inches) and 4 Walleye(biggest was only about 18 inches). They mostly wanted big Husky Jerks. I have no idea where all the walleye went, but the Smallys fight much better! Can't believe more guys are not fishing. Good fishing only lasts so long.

No boat, very long walk with hip boots. I don't believe in spot burning so I will not tell you exactly where I fish. I have seen the damage spot burning creates first hand on the Erie tribs(I have fished Erie for 32 years). If you live around Sunbury then you should have a very good idea where I fish, and no its not an illegal spot. I asked a fish warden. Good Luck!

Spot burning the susky in mid January... hahah ok.

Only reason I ask is because down here in Harrisburg you can't fish the river. It's all slush and the farther north you go the more ice and slush there is. I know where Sunbury is. Even if you had open water I have a hard time believing you. Not saying you didn't do that well but that seems pretty far fetched.

Sry, I thought you lived up this way. I know these numbers are high, but as I said VERY few people are fishing(lazy) and this has been the best fishing I have ever experienced on the river. I have been fishing the Susky since 1998.

Its also illegal to fish the PPL dam. Shamokin Dam and the Poor House side.

If you don't know the poor house than you don't know Sunbury like u say.

Who cares. Dude is catching fish & not hurting anything. If it is a posted spot I recon it to sneaking on to the golf coarse to catch the pond Bass at night. Knowing you aren't suppose to be there makes it that much better.
Not saying I've ever done it, or he is....
I just wish there were pics.. I'm not a warm water species fisherman, but I'd like to see a 30" Walleye.

Hammer, everyone knows you can't fish the dam(posted). There are other spots to fish, you just have to go outside and WALK. Never heard of the poor house, but as I said I am not from this area.

Salmo, this is called a fishing reports page. I give my fishing report. I have NO reason to lie, what could I gain? Not saying anything bad about you. But why do other "fishermen" almost always slam the guy reporting that he had a good day, its not just on this site but a lot of them. Is it jealousy? I can't help I love to fish and hunt, but I try to help others not bad mouth them. I guess I should not post any more reports. And the biggest walleye I caught down here was 26 inches. I did catch a 31 inch 11 lber out of Lake Erie 2 years ago.

Duud- I stuck up for you. Read it again. I don't care where you fish. The message is clear- just fish.
