Any "safe" ice?

Was wondering if there is any "safe" ice anywhere yet?  The recent heat wave and rain really messed things up.  I really am itching to get out and don't want to waste all my gas searching for good ice.

The long range frocast is calling for good ice forming conditions.

    Fished Black Moshannon today and the ice was 9-10". The edges were solid. The fishing was fair.   Lou
