I fished stink hole Saturday 4 inches of ice. Lots of big bass and blue gills on the camera. They would look at the bait hang around then cruise on by. No perch.

They do love the smelt!  Wonder how they would like them deep fried?

Hey anybody care to share if they have had any luck on the bay for perch. I have been hearing all kinds of reports some people are not catching any and other's are catching all kinds. I went off of chestnut today and only manage three keepers. I could see alot of perch down there on my camera, however many of them seemed pretty small!!

Remember, there are two kinds of fishermen, those that fish for sport and those that catch something.

Ice is thick ,dont think the warm temps will do much damage. EXCEPT for the shore line, that might be a little dicey. Usually the shoreline is the areas you need to watch for when a warm spell sets in for a couple of days if your on still waters. anywhere near a crick or current area may me shaky as well.
If it warms up over 40 for more than a couple days then you wont find me out there.
