Guys,

My son, ran this deer down and smothered it to death with nothing more than a Diet Mountain Dew box and some paper towels.

I would believe it more if it was closer than 50 yards. Also like said by the others I think you would have a bloody mess. The tomahawk looks way to clean. Who knows it might be true.

the "bullet hole" in the first photo is cropped out of the one after the deer is caped. All it shows is from the spine to the tomahawk cut.  It may have been shot in the neck, the one photo is convieniently off center. All of the phots were convieniently off center and missing the most crucial proof that he shot or tomahawked the deer. Regardless, Its quite disrespectful to the animal to even attempt a stunt like chucking a tomahawk at a deer, and on top of that doing it a 50yrds. And if it was killed before the tomahawk blow (which IMO it was dead already), That to is pretty disrespectful to the animal. So either way he was disrespectful to the deer and sport. I think he should be charged with abusing a corpse.lol

In case you missed it like I did the first time; the wound on the deer in the first photo is on the deers upper "right" rib cage. The photo of the skinned out deer has the wound on the lower "left" rib cage area. Please correct me if my observation is wrong. Also; why would you post an unlawful act on the internet anyway. Must need attention awful bad!!!!

FYI ------

From an E-mail from the PGC in Harrisburg....

Tomahawks and atlatls are both illegal.  We are currently investigating Mr. Bell.  He may have taken it in a high fence operation.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY...

Assuming he tagged it I don't know what they could fine him for. I don't think abusing a corpse and telling tall tales falls under the game code. Maybe for no orange hat.

I read it Doc---It's just that all the evidence points to the fact that the deer was dead before the chop. I think he is guilty of Bullshi--ing and I can't find that offense in the game code.

evidence points to the fact that the deer was dead before the chop.

where did you get that evidence ????

All I have read here is guys' opinions

the other side of the "evidence" ----

he could have cleaned the tomahawk or used a different one for the photo....maybe the one he used broke ?????

he could have wiped the blood  from the wound before the photo also... I know lots of guys who do that.. they do not like the tongue.. blood ..wound.. etc showing up in the photos... esppecially alot of the traditional deer hunters...

I have attended atlatl and tomahawk throwing competitions and I have no trouble believing a person could use either to kill a deer.. they're deer not elephants !!!!

I will say the competitions I have witnessed did not prove to me that either was a very consistent weapon when it came to hitting bulleyes.... and that was at 25 and 30 yards for competitions...and I think that's why both are still illegal as weapons for deer.

Yeah but 50 yards? That is not believable.

Also I noticed on the site posted that when the WCO got on and explained there was no primitive weapons permit and left his number, Ray Bell dissappeared from posting. First a lie about a tomahawk, then another backup lie about a fake permit. His integrity grows by the second.

I guess the question is this,  if I shoot a deer legally and have a witness to this event, send in my report card, etc. etc., is it against any law for me to get on the internet and tell a bunch yucks that i killed it with a tamahawk or a diet mountain dew box or anything else for that matter.
