Lehigh River

Anyone ever float it in a personal pontoon boat?

Curious to know were you would put in to do some trout fishing.

Thanks

I never floated the river but have fished it.I have seen some people on rafts and canoes, also there are some guides that use drift boats. You can get access to the river at Trieckles(sp) and float to Northampton,or put in at Walnutport and float to Trecklers(sp).
With the warm weather the river warms up and the trout will concentrate on cold water seepage, creeks and springs,so that would be where to fish. However, there are plenty of Smallmouth and other fish in that river so go prepared for anything.
