THink Spring

Hey All:

Havent been around in a while but still alive and kicking.  Happy holidays ( That's Merry Christmas for non - progressives ) LOL

Going to try to make it three years in a row to fish OC on New Years Eve. It is a little slow but there are some nice fish on the bottom.  And lots of elbow room.  Mike's Triple threats and heavy wooly buggers relly do a good job in the cold water.  Deep and SLOW............ Looks like it might get snowed out this year if things continue to go the way it is now.

Anyone giving any thoughts about the 6th Conclave at Oil Creek this coming May?   I still have pepper rings and some of those canned cherries..................

Later,

    Mike,
    Good to hear from ya.
That fly has got me some nice bass and steelies, too.

This years conclave will probably be early May again.
Last year's thread was only posted on the "General Discussion Board" which is probably why you missed it.
I'll make sure its posted here on the NW board, too.

Very similar, Rap, except for the contest.
We've never had as many participants as the 1-fly. Usually around 20-30 guys or so.
The day's agenda is to fish in the morning, then eat, then fish some more.
It's a good time and usually happens on a Sunday in Early May at Oil Creek State Park which is between Titusville and Oil City.
Hope you make it this year.

Dano:  last time I fished OC was in November.....had a good time.....a little surface action on midges and some great action on streamers..........

are you still driving the white van?  when is your company going to break down and get you a sleepover camper or something/ just in case you have to stay over for a late spinner fall............

If people need a place to stay over for the fish outing and want to come in the night before i can probably fit 2-3 extra into the camp.......the rent is reasonable.......a case of Yeungling or a bottle of vodka............I have tomato juice.......
