What would you do

Did some major scouting in the past three weeks. Located some great spots. One I actually spotted a big buck in, the other areas are tore up. The area where I saw the buck there is absolutely no way I can use a rifle, chances are the deer will be in archery movements and I wont see another guy. The other two I can use a rifle and show great sign.

Would you...

a) Save the bow stand for late season
b) Hunt the bow stand monday with the bow all day
c) Go to the rifle spots in the morning, hit the bow spot in the evening
d) Hit the bow spot first, then fall back on a rifle stand.

Buy a crossbow and hunt the "bow" spot.  That you you will have the firepower of a rifle and still be able to sneak in there.  Anything you see will be as good as dead with that arrowgun.

Seriously, I would hit the rifle spots and save the oasis for late season archery.  Could be a honeyhole after all the pressure from rifle.

My rifle is a black rifle

On the serious side you might have one run right up to you in the bow spot, not many guys can say they killed a buck with a bow on the first day of rifle. I know of some spots I often think of doing the same thing. If there is alot of pressure around the bow spot might be the better spot. Good luck either way.

I guess I'm number four on saving the bow spot for later. If it is that good, they'll be pressured to the only safe spot left and by what our saying, you've found it.

I understand everyones theory on that one. More likely then not that will be my choice also. I gotta slip in there today and hang that stand so that when late season rolls around im ready to go.

Well, if it's thick, so much the better.  Maybe the deer will be driven there by the gun hunters.

Im not getting in that stand in the rain, save it for another day. At least one benefit to this weather will be my scent from hanging the stand will be washed away.

if its raining it might not be a bad idea to use that stand you can sneak in and scent shouldn't be to bad and with ppl moving they might come right in there

You should go to Spring Creek and look for your lost hemos -- dumas!
