Wish that was all the snow we had here..We're getting pounded..

Was at the logging job today in S. NY and the deer weren't liken the 2 feet of snow on the ground..

And they have gotten another 6" since this morning..Will make for a tough season with all that snow.

I sure hope it hangs around. There is nothing I enjoy more than sitting in my stand with snow on the ground where I can see everything in all the thick stuff.

    Deadbolt,
Please don't even say the "r' word and "first day" in the same sentence. Last year possibly was the wettest day I have ever spent in the woods. It was one of those days where you try to hide under a pine. In that kind of rain, the water just rolls down the boughs and increases the size of the drops by 10. I'll take the snow. You probably right though. It'll rrrrr........rrrrraa...I can't do it.

I rain proofed my heater body suit. I'm ready for whatever mother nature brings. Saw 6 last year in the downpour. I wasn't a fan of the first day last year moreso because of the fog than the rain though.

If you get an umbrella, hit every seam with camp dry twice! Cause if it pours, it will come right through.

Woke up to 5", getn more as we speak. I know what Ill be doing tomorrow. Man I wish this was last week! Saw my first buck running in an open field today. 7am, nice deer.

We got another foot to 18" depending how far north you are...Almost enough snow to stop the use of atvs..Will be tough for the bear hunters to get around the woods..

You got 5 inches in Milesburg?

I'm in State, and we got about an inch.  The one squall was up that way I think.
