Birch Lake
Used to live in Adams Co. and really enjoyed fishing Birch Lake; mostly at night. Now I go back to visit and find that the lake that once gave up the record for Largemouth Bass doesn't exist. With all the fuss about repairing dams in the state you think that this one would be one of the first to be repaired. Also in the same area is Long Pine; but it doesn't seem to have enough fish in it because of acidity; but if you saw it for the first time you would be awed by its scenic beauty. What a shame to lose one and have the other almost void of fish. Anyone have any comments on this? P.S. I also paid a 25 dollar fine at Birch for being in the water while fishing because of a no wading rule.
