Made it up to conneaut sunday. We got 5 eyes in the box and lost one at the boat. Trolled copper spoons in 48ft using 20 jets with 6ft leaders. 75 to 90ft back. Started at 8 and the bite quit at 10. Decided to try for perch and got 4 jumbos before the wind picked up. Left around 12. Not bad for a first trip and first time ever using jetdivers.

You are right bluntman!  I seldom put much weight in what Jack has to say.  But I fished there over the weekend and did well on the 'eyes.  (See report on fishing reports section of FishErie)  Sorry, didn't hear a whole lot about perch.  The '03 'Eyes are really nice now, 18 to 23".  Most of the fish we got Saturday and Sunday were 20 to 22.

Went back up saturday hoping to better our previous catch. What a bummer. No eyes. Tried so many diffrent programs i ran out of ideas. Decided to do some perchin and did alright. 22 in the cooler. Most were over 10 with 6, 11" and better. Fished the pack n/e of the lighthouse. Gonna try deeper water next time up.

Chauncy: As we were leaving conneaut harbor about 4 in saturday i saw a tow vehicle with the microspoon advertising on the side. Any chance that was you? We only managed 5 walleyes saturday and they all came at around 25 feet high in the 40 foot depths. Only tried for perch for a half hour and then went for walleyes.

The lake flip sure has stuff all f'ed up!  I'm guessing once the surf temps rise again we are going to catch 'eyes pretty strong again but they will be in significantly deeper water.
