Pyme blinds

Would appreciate feedback. I was pulled for a blind in early November and my hunting buddy was pulled for mid-January'09. While I feel strongly about November--he'd like January. Since we can only do one--any comments appreciated. Thanks

It all depends on what blind you get in my opinion.  Either time could be great or terrible depending on what blind you draw that day.

Thanks. My biggest concern is that January could mean significant snowfall. Since I'd be coming up 79 from the 'Burgh I was more weather concerned. We've had a string of luck by getting drawn now 4 straight years. However, this is the first time for a January pull.

January can be a great time to hunt there for sure.  But I can tell ya this you will have lots of snow there.  I don't even send in for the drawing any more.  I just run up during the week sometime and get a no show blind.  I think I have a streak of like 8-9 seasons now doing this.

The number of guys just dont go there anymore.  But I can't realy blame them.  It is going down hill quick at Pymy in my opinion.

Ax, again--thanks. We've decided to use the Nov. pull. We will do Pyme first, then drive to Presque Isle and see if there is an empty blind--or just do a little steelhead fishing.

I would go for the november pic, you might still have a few flight birds birds around, but january will be local birds only. also the blinds are not a sure thing like they use to be. we have not fired a shot in the blinds in the last three years , I take that back we did fire one shot last year at a single, that was at border line height, not good,
