I dont have one, but I'd think that a noodle rod would lend itself to crappie fishing pretty well.  If and when I get one, I'll use it for crappie in the summer months.

Use it all the time on my local trout streams.

I like to throw unweighted soft plastics & small jigs with light line for bass with mine.

Definitely not suited for throwing bigger, heavier bass lures like crank baits, spinner baits or big jigs though.

Did you have something specific in mind, or just wondering in general?

Trout fishing on bigger streams like redbank clarion river and tionesta i always have a noodle rod or pin rod.  I like them for catfishing and carp fishing.  O and of course spring crappie fishing is always done with noodles....

i have 12 different fishing rods and use them all, not at the same time mind you, but i'll take the noodle out and do some bass or catfishing with it.

the early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

i like using mine for when i use bait for trout or bass.  the soft tip will not spook fish when they take the bait but allows be time to grab the rod without the fish feeling pressure.  then i get a good hook set without deep hooking the fish.  it is also very good when bobber fishing because of the long rod, you get a good sweep set.  plus the fight is great, especially on big bass in erie.

Works GREAT on the Cumberland tossing a weighted bugger (olive) across the channels.
