Burden Lake/ Kay's Pizza

My weekends are kind of tough in August and Sept right now...  But I have all the weekday evenings free...
 
Since we are both right down the road, maybe we can do something one night if you aren't working or something...  I keep hearing rave reviewas about Kays Pizza and the Pike in Burden Lake...  But still haven't gone to check out EITHER!
 
Keep in touch and lemme' know...  I'd go in a heartbeat...  And I will try not to talk so much...   :)

  You know my schedule. B-shift full-mod. We share one weekend off per month. If you're goin' that weekend, I'd love to tag along for some pannies.

Funny you mention Kay's... after I picked up my cooler at jimmy's i went to Burden Lake and pulled a surly smallmouth and a largemouth out of the corner right across from Kay's.  I havent had pizza there in years but it the place is legendary and I'm sure its still good judging by the crowds there.  Let me know when you're going, i can get out sometime if you want, Perch.

Well since no one is up for it I had to ask my other half!! We are going tonite Fishing, Beer, Clams and Salad "MAN" I'm  in Haven!!! "No"       that's right I'm fishing with my WIFE!!!

We had a good time!! The lake is turning over so I did't think we would do good but the fish did bite some, bluegills and a few perch!! Had to troll for them, tubjig with a small chunk of worm did the trick!! The beers went down well TOO!! Kay's was GREAT!!! A few Beers, Clams, Pizza and Antipasto!! Best of all the Giants WIN!!! We sat at the bar right next the GIANT TV!!!! Jiimy, you missed a GOOD TIME!!!

Blitz- I haven't bothered the trout in Glass since early June when the fishing on Snyders Lake really began to turn on...  But once the water temps drop down to around 62 or so I will be back out there on Glass Lake with a vengence looking for some of those trout again.

At first I was fired up about trying to find my first Kokanee in there...  I heard slow-trolling nymphs from a canoe will turn up a few...  But then my neighbors told me the Kokes never really 'took' and the State stopped stocking them.  I was really just interested in getting myself a new species of fish...  I think Kokes are really just small landlocked Cohos...  But apparently a 14" fish is a monster...  Ever get into one on Glass?

You found any big browns in Glass?  Looks like the State stopped stocking browns but kept up the Rainbow stocking...  I am thinking the Browns could still be reporducing in Horse Heaven Brook...  By next month I will be back out there in the cooler weather trying to find out.  But the Smallies in Snyders have been on FIRE lately and I can't drag myself away from my boat, canoe or front yard...  It's just too good at home this month...

I only have one season under my belt in Renn County, so Glass is still a but of a mystery even after about a dozen days on that water.  I like it there- lots of fish, but I still haven't found any big un's of any species.  

But I will keep an eye out next time I am on Glass...  I will be in my dark green Old Town canoe...  Easy to spot...  I sit in the center...

The Florida license plates on the Pathfinder at the put-in by the bridge give me away in a heartbeat too...

ive never gotten a kokanee either, no browns either, just tons of bows. i might try later in fall, queechy fishing turns off in sept, for some reason.
 
yeah, i read that they never really gota solid base of kokes, i'd love to get a new species tho, i'll try

Yeah, It's still a DREAM to ME!!!! Well we are on the right track 1 and  0 !!! And have a few games with teams that we should beat!!

Guys let's hit Kay's this Thursday 9/25!!! First round is on ME!!!!!

It was a Good Time!!! Even tho Jimmy Can't tell TIME!!!!   LOL    His Work got the best of HIM!!! Kay's is have a Live Band on Sat. Nite from 10pm to 2am!! It's the last nite of the year!!! Great Beer and Pizza!! We can't make it but I'll be there next April when they open again!!! The Gang Has to get there for some good TIMES!!!!
