I didn't see my favorite restaurant on any lists here. It's Hoss's, on rt 20. Good food, reasonable price, always clean and well run. Never left Hoss's hungry.

What about Quaker Steak and Lube? Cold Beer and Hot Wings. My Teenage son thinks it's about the coolest place on earth!

The lunch buffet is pretty good and you can get in and out fast.
The one bad thing is that their wing's skin is not crispy.

The one in Sharon-the original, is OK. The one in Erie- Overpriced, crap food. I wouldn't eat there if it was free. Your son needs to broaden his horizons.

He's 14, and it has cool cars and motorcycles.
By the way, he's 6'2 and eats anything that doesn't run away from him!!

Marty if you like the Iron Bridge, try Rachael's Roadhouse just down the road.  I visit both quite a bit and give a slight edge to Rachaels.

In erie, the food at Avonia Tavern is awesome, however the last two times I have been there there were 2 other tables with people in them and we waited 20 min just to order drinks, then had to go to the bar & order our own drinks the rest of the time and our waitress never brought us menus we had to find them on our own.  The food is awesome, the service could use a little work.  (and I am not really that picky about service)

Better too far back, than too far forward.

How bout Mickey D's? Seriously, who comes to Erie during steelhead season for the fine dining? Meals for me usually consist of drive thrus and running like hell to get back to the stream! I can only make a few precious trips a year, and fish hard from dark to dark, crash a few hours in the truck, then right back on the stream. Breaks for calls of nature and meals are few and very brief. This year's new regs on nightfishing will afford me a few more hours of sleep, but other than that its all about the world class fishing!

I went to Smokey Bones by the Millcreek Mall last week and the food was very good-especially for a chain restaurant.
Brunswick stew was great.

Last night  on my way back to PGH I stopped at Rachel's Roadhouse on rt19 just south of rt80 a few miles west of intersection of 79.
Junk Burger was excellent.
It is nice to find a place that will serve a hamburger medium-or even rare if you want it.
Most places insist that their burgers are cooked well done, dry and tasteless
Fries and salad were pretty good also.
Bar area had a few couples but it looked like ladies night!

Golden Corral is my choice for fast takeout
You can get anything on the buffet to go and pay by the pound.
It is also cheaper than Mickey D's

Service sucks most times there. But the food, location and prices make up for it for me. 5 miles from camp and I can watch the Pens games there.

Service sucks most times there.

I was there after 8pm when the restaurant was not very busy and service was pretty good.
Most people were at or near the bar

Ate at the Avonia twice. 1st time I had the Perch & the 2nd time I had the Walleye. Great tasting food at a good price. Highly recomended.

A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work.
