I use a lanyard on my Bill Dance (Wal-mart -under $10.00). Kept them for years!

Man showed me on the river several years ago, when buying "polarized" glasses to take 2 pairs and hold the lenses at opposing angles(+), then look through. If it's black and you can't see through them - they're polarized and good glasses. The "Dance's" have worked well for me and didn't break the bank, but I wouldn't hesitate to spend a few more dollars to acquire a very effective fishing tool!

It has been my experience that if you normally spend a fishing day longer than 8 hours on the water, those cheapy models with plastic lenses may give you headaches.I usually got one if it was a real bright day, switched to the glass polarized years ago and have had many less headaches.I think it it something to do with the distortion the plastic may have in it too.

go to COSTCO. Buy their frame and pay 1 penny each for lenses. These are non-prescription grade polarized lenses. i bought mine four years ago so price may have increased for the lens. At least you choose a frame that fits rather than the "one size fits all" stuff at exhorbitant prices.

I have a couple cheap pairs some from Walmart (Bill Dance) and Calcuta (I like the best out of the cheapies) and 2 pair of Native with interchangeable lenses they fit my fathead better but are way over rated. At my dock I can see better with the calcutta cheapies than the Native polarized. I do hear the Costa Del Mar glasses are nice but not for a Big Fathead!

Got mine from fishusa store. They have them on sale now, i believe. Got 2 pairs early this spring and they fit good and get the job done. Not expensive either. Think they're called Flying fishermans.

I usually buy the cheapies, because I am like you I destroy a pair or two a year.  One thing I will say is that when I went to pairs with the side shields, I could see better and the headaches from staring at the water for 12 or 13 hours a day dissappeared.  I think the key is blocking the sun from the side.  These are the bill dance version but there are others.  I think that the side block is a key.

Better too far back, than too far forward.

Flying Fisherman makes a sweet bunch of polarized glasses that are good and comfy and pretty durable too.  They also make a good pair for kids.  They are on special at FishUSA until 9/1.  Here's the link

Cheap-O Renegades from Wal-Mart. In amber. Usually last 2 years, but at 14.99 who cares? I'm fishing 100 days a year so they get used, and I'm not easy on equipment.

WalMart. Walmart. Walmart.  I had the same problem.  I would buy a case or a lanyard for them.
