I saw a tom in full strut at 5pm today. A bunch of sitting hens were with him. I have no idea where I am going. Im gonna try and put one to sleep tomorrow night hopefully. Who knows. Calling for rain here.

I think you can EXPECT that someone will ruin at least one setup of yours. You can also EXPECT that someone at some point in time will get between you and a bird and shoot it off your calling. Happens to me every year.

I've been hearing 7 different gobblers on the ground I hunt.....at least until tuesday morning, and wednesday morning, when I couldnt even get one to gobble while scouting either day. I'm going out tomorrow morning and evening to see if I can find where they are. After hearing the weather, we're supposed to get some thunderstorms on saturday. I dont know if you guys have ever been hunting spring gobblers when there's thunder, but it sure takes the guesswork out of finding them. I wouldnt mind some midmorning thunder, if I dont kill one off the roost.

I expect all the birds that have basically been living within 100 yards of my house to up and disappear.

JLH that goat that walked in on your set up will miss and send that big tom runnin across your boot tips.

Danes hopefully your biggest problem will be which door of the house to exit so as not to disturb the roosting birds in your yard.

Had 1 boss tom struttin all by himself an screamin away at a few yelps this morning, 1 day their were 3 in this same field, now hes the only 1, i wonder if he's the dominant bird or the sore loser to a big boy that might be around.
