That time of year again....

Well, after a pretty lack luster ice fishing season, I'm almost happy to put the ice gear away.....That also means that it's time to get the boat out.....10 days til launch.

How was your season?

For 4 days on presque isle results were not that great but in about 10 trips to high point down here i landed 5 legal pike. That may not seem that great to others but they were the first legal ones i've caught thru the ice there in over 20 years.

In total any ice fishing year i don't go thru or get wet was a sucess.

I was out of catabwa 2 years ago with a friend for 3 days the first week of april. We only got to fish 1/2 day because of the winds but we had a great time. We drifted niagra reef using large jigs tipped with about 3 inch minnies. If you can get out you should have a good time.

Been fishing up there for 30 yrs. Know the area very well. It's hot right off the bat right in front of Davy Besse about 200 yds. off shore. Purple jigs.My brother lives 1 hr. south.

I had 2 good days on the bay, 1 ok day, then 4 straight really bad days.

2 great days on lake Arthur,  a half dozen ok days, and a half dozen really bad days.

Trout fishing on Herford was fast and furious as usual, became tiring taking the sliming !@)# ! of the hook.

I guess an ok year overall, at least we had some good ice for more than a week this year.

I had a pretty good season considering the late start we got. Got out over twenty times on eleven different lakes. Also got to participate in the Erie Freeze out too. Stayed on top too, which is a good thing! Goodluck to the open water fisherman.   Lou

Pretty good season, considering.  Figure we had about 6 weeks of good ice, which isn't too unusual.  My son and I got out our fair share.  Some banner days, some not too good.  Final tallies (for the freezer, not counting throwbacks), 230 gills/pumpkinseeds, 29 perch, 12 crappies, 6 trout.

We also made the Freezeout, will definitely be back next year.  Good time!

This was not the best year for us. We had some good, some bad and some down right awful days, but I guess it's not the good and the bad days but the quality time I spend with my son. So were off to new adventures trout fishing starts in a couple of weeks then my favorite, turkey hunting starts the end of April
    (can't wait)!
To the end of ice fishing for another year.....God Bless and take care.

Look to the heavens and thank God everyday that hunting is such a grand part of our lives.

Ice was good for a decent amount of time.  Perch and crappies on PI were hit and miss all year. Overall a decent ice season.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.
