First try at this guys.  Hopefully it works.  Went off the beaten path for the first day of trout.  Six hours of internet time and with the help of topographic maps, it was one I'll never forget!  Deer, Gobbler, Porcupine, Grouse and wild Brookie!

Did you catch the brookies on flies or bait?  I have never been brookie fishing before and was curious.  That definitely looks like it is fun.

Caught these two on San Juan Worms.  Just used a small wire hook, nothing too big, although they have mouths that could eat an elephant.  Very oversized!!

    A few from today...

    The Water

    The Wildflowers

    And Finally...

     Fish #1

     And #2

Both of the fish were caught in the same piece of water, and I can't tell if they are the same fish?  One seems to have the blue juvenille stripes and they aren't as prominent in the other...?  Either way I had a great afternoon.

Thanks.  I am trying to learn to tie the typical dry fly and trout flies.  If I get some time, I would like to get out and explore the little brookie streams.
