Fishing Charter

I am currently signed on for a Walleye Charter out of Walnut creek in erie pa. This trip is set for 4 people but there are only 2 of us. I am looking for 2 more people to come out on the trip with us. The cost would be 220 for 2 people or 110 each. The charter is with somethingcatchycharters. I went out last year with them and had a great time and nearly came back with our limit in steelheads and eyes. The date for the trip is August 16th of this year. if interensted let me know and could help you out with my details if needed. Here are some pics from last years trip

Yeah, its tough being a charter captain these days. Way too many overhead expenses. You'd have to have clients out 5 days a week, every week, to at least break even. I'll stick to pitching in on everything on a friends boat. Quite a bit cheaper than a charter.

Being a charter is just one way to offset the cost of fishing. I don't believe anyone on lake erie will make a good living doing it. I spend way more than I bring in at this point. It is cool to split the cost with friends or family if you can get them to fish as much as yourself. I ran out of people wanting to fish every single weekend friday, saturday and sunday. I spend 400-600 every weekend fishing and that was with the old boat. The new Baha with the twins surely will cost me a little more in fuel. I take walk on customers for $100.00 per guy, that is pretty reasonable for someone that doesn't need to bring anything. If 2 guys go out it covers the fuel and worms. I enjoy meeting different people and giving customers a great experience while were out. I can't wait for the summer to get back on the lake. The fishing should still be great this year.
