New Reel On Its Way....

I just ordered this bait caster reel.  I read the specs and was impressed so I figured I'd try it out as a new casting reel for muskie.  I have always used Abu Garcias and wanted try try something different and lower profiled.  Its the Quantum Cabo CBC20PTS.  The one I ordered is actually Rt. handed unlike the one shown here.  I went with the saltwater series since it has an all aluminum body and is sealed.  Anyone have any experiences with this particular reel?  Any input would be appreciated.

Here are some of the specs:
Cabo PTs Features
Oversized spool design for extra line capacity
Super-hard brass/alloy machined gears
Centrifugal braking system
One-piece aluminum frame and sidecover
Continuous Anti-Reverseâ„¢
Quick-release sidecover
Flip-up lubrication port
6 Polymer/stainless hybrid PT bearings
BaitAlertâ„¢ audible clicker on widespool models
Saltgardâ„¢ 6-layer corrosion protection finish
5.7:1 High-speed gear ratio
Quantum Hot Sauce lubrication

You should have asked this BEFORE you bought the reel.

    Carp,

I'm not in doubt about my purchase here.  I read many reviews on this reel and most were positive.  I also do not doubt that its a quality reel with quality components.  I simply asked if anyone has used it and was inquirring about their experiences and how it performed for them and what species they may have used it for.  I could have been more specific I guess.  With that said, so have you used this reel before?

Not this one in paticular, but I do own a few Quantum reels and I am satisfied with them. I think you will be too.

The cabo line of items are real nice, I use their spinning reels and very satisfied w/ them. they do hold up well in salt so fresh should be no problem. The drags on the spinners are smooth.

I don't know about the BC reels, but I have a few Cabo spinning reels and love them.

For my fishing reports, product reviews, stories, and other nonsense...

I second the ambassador 7000 as top.

A friend of mine has a cabo just like you're getting.  He likes it pretty well.  It's his catfish reel.  I've never used it but it appears to work smooth.  He can cast just as far as me.

I've used the LP Quantums; they're nice though not the most cost effective in my mind.

    Good Luck with your reel!
