    Was in PRs the other night, a guy fishing the bay for crappie brang in a 17.5 lb steelie. Bright silver female.

    There all over the Bay from late fall through early spring. Guys fishing for Perch or Crappie run into them all the time.
     
    If your really looking for them try fishing off the mouth of Cascade Creek. They really pile up out there this time of year.

    We smacked quite a few around yesterday am.  Terrible hook to net ratio (13/30) but lots of FRESH, HOT, HOT fish.  We had boards jumping out of the water!  Lots of nice fresh steelies, most of which were in the 6#+ range. 
     
    One dandy pike on a digger rod too.  Probably 30 to 34" or so.
