Good luck. I hope there was an honest person that found it . Or maybe someone knows of a person that found it.

Man that is really unfortunate.  I honestly hope someone with a brain finds it and your buddy gets his rod/reel back

Good for you! I thought someone stole my 3 man raft once of the top of my car, till I realized the roof rack was gone also!

Glad to hear you got the rod back.  You are the second person I know of this year who lost a rod and had it returned.  I think that speaks well of our fellow fisherman.  There are some slobs out there, but there are also some honest upstanding folks also.

not to change the subject but over 20 years ago i was fishing in little sandy up in polk ffo project up by the water pump station. there were other cars parked in the area. when i got back to my van a fly vest complete with flies and even a journal was hanging on my side veiw mirror. the vest weighed more than mine. i found a name in his vest and researched his name and called the number. he was from pittsburgh. i told his wife about finding his vest. to make a long story shorter, i told him where i lived and i set it on the on the passenger seat the next time he was up my way. he took the vest, i never seen the guy. you would of thought he would of at least left a thank you note. oh well, maybe there was a hatch on.
