How they looking?

How are the tribs doing from the warmer weather today (and the little rain).  Anyone been out today?

My wife said I golfed too much...so I started fishing.

Starting to come up and cloud up. If it goes below freezing tonight you may be all right for awhile tomorrow. If it doesn't freeze they will be blown out by morning.

Fished Elk and walnut.  Just got back at 4.  Creek are getting pretty muddy and starting to rise.  Like said before, unless is freezes tonight they will be blown tommarow.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

Us bait fishermen should clean house tomorrow!  High and stained, just the way I like it.  Good luck to all who plan on attending this weekend, be safe and may your floats be dunked!

Bait is for catfish. Flies are for steelhead.

Did the rains ever make it to Erie?  My buddy and I have a three hour ride and are dying to get out one last time, but don't want to waste 50 bucks in gas for blown out conditions.  Think tomorrow would be worth the ride?

I just heard that the flow is up pretty good, but the front is pretty much out of the Erie area.  Going up would be taking a chance, but when is it ever not?  I'll be heading up with my smelly/sloppy skein for sure!

Thanks for the info.  I'll probably head up to sling some egg sacs.  Really just need an excuse to break out my new waders.

now let me get this right, feathers, hackle, thread, beads, dubbing, cheniele, etc, etc, are more natural going down stream than steelie eggs. I fish both by the way and don't discriminate (sp) which is best. Some do, I don't. They're fish. Aside from maybe a little line/hook shy, doesn't take a PHD to get em. Just a little practice and some reading on this forum and how do you say it ? " Can O Corn " "Piece of Cake" Will leave you with that, gotta get my rest, might make the charge tomorrow. (Backup plan - eyes in the river) Goodnight.

I heard they were putting up webcams for Elk and Walnut at favorite spots up and down both creeks to alleviate the over-inquiring about creek conditions.

They were about so-so. fishable but not ideal. didn't get whiplash from watching the float but it was close. Had to slow the presentation down to draw fish.
