Reminton Model 710

Anybody have good experiences with Remington's Model 710?  I just got one in the 300 mag, despite hearing of it's early manufacturing problems.  Was told all the bugs have been worked out in last few years...course, I've also been made aware it's being discontinued.

    I have a 710 in 270 an i honestly love it, never had a problem yet an shoots straight as possible, killed this years buck with it an dropped it in its tracks, i think its by far the best cheapest rifle/scope combo available.

    I have nothing but good experiences with it... I have one in .270 also and it couldnt shoot better!  Used it deer hunting and woodchuck hunting and off the bench, shoots awesome, great value.  Not the prettiest thing ever but it definitely works hard and I think its a mistake to discontinue it.

    Dont own one, but it does carry the remington name...Keep in mind alot of guys who report bad things are sometimes the same guys with car problems who change their oil.....It might not be perfect but if it works just maintain it.

    i got the 710 when it first came out i have the 30-06 the first one gander mountain sold in west mifflin it had one problem the bolt spun and thats all that was the only problem with it but i got it fixed nd now i love that gun i love the shortness of it and its somewhat lighter than other guns and the scope isnt bad not at all
