We are getting a ton of snow right now and the temperatures will be below freezing until Monday.  My guess and it is a guess, the stream will be not too bad Monday, but as the week goes on and the temperatures go up the snow will start to melt which may bring the creek up.

gilleye,

I was not the guy with the fly rod with the gold reel.  I was using an 11' spey rod with a Lamson reel.  I fished the hole just up from the stop sign up to the Manchester hole.  I was there until about  2:15.  I did talk with a guy who was fishing a new fly rod with a gold reel and an Amish fellow who was fishing the Manchester hole.

I was there fishing manchester with the centerpin while the amish guy and you were there.  I gave up cause the snow and cold froze my reel and the bite was almost non existent....

I must have walked right past you Avid.  The bite was slow.  I only hooked up once but lost it.  I did manage one foul hooked fish.  The Amish guy landed it for me.  As for centerpin reels in the cold, I have found mine freezes up pretty easily when the temperature drops below freezing.  Yesterday with all the snow and cold, just about everything was freezing up.

Yeah I thought the water was almost perfect and the fish were there but couldn't tempt one into taking.  I decided it was a better idea to start the trip home before I got stranded for the weekend, but if the fish would've been cooperating I probably wouldn't have left....

We got a lot of snow last night and if it warms up, there could be some run off and bring the streams up a bit.  I do know there is little ice right now so that should not be a problem.  There may be some slush in the morning.

thanks for the reply....I might make the trip up more towards the afternoon. I want to try to get a few more trips in and seeing that 9 thousand inches of snow is going to be melting soon, its not going to be good for a while...lol
