anybody use this newer type of ice rod?

I thought this was nice and lightweight, only bad part is they are pricey. But I may get 1 to just see.

    i dont like those things, you got to hand line the fish in...only thing good about really is its small...

    understandable, sometimes I hand line myself because if I am catching fish and don't have my camera, I just leave it at that length for the depth I am catching them. But the action you can get off that rod is nice, the slightest twitch for your jig or a light bite. Seems nice. Course the compactness would be a hit. Wish I could see some up close and hold one though.

    They should have a video on their website on how it works. I remember seeing it last year.

    You don't catch fish!!!!! Dynamite might be a better choice! Don't forget the waterproof wick!!!! Just kidding, I know you caught two last week.

    I may buy 1 but maybe next season, the way this ice fishing season has been, blahhh. Who knows how long we will have ice for, but we are sure gettin pounded with snow!
     
    Heck maybe the price will come down on those things or someone will be selling them on eBay by then!
