All 3 water types are local here and i fish all of them in the spring, summer and winter. Usually the Mon at Maxwell Locks and 10 Mile Creek get most of the attention in the summer catching smallies, or a couple of the local farm ponds for crappies an largemouth, but fall-spring its either trout or steelhead.

    Need the Net!

My largest brown to date.  22 inches.  June 14, 2007

One of our favorite PA streams.  Can't wait till we can be there in May.

P.S.  I normally don't use a net either.  But for some of my doubting friends,
I just wasn't taking a chance on him getting away without a picture.
I also never hold a fish by the gills.

I won't use a net ever when wadein or shore fishin. Takes the challenge out of it for me. But I bought the biggest net I could find for toothy critters from a boat this year. Lost a big one last year becauce my buddie said "I ain't grabbin that!!!"

If I only could pick one style of fishing........

Down south......Way south
A 2 mile wide grass flat about 12 inches deep
A slow breeze with the sun at my back
Slowly stalking tailing schools of redfish.
Now that's heaven, my friends.

For my fishing reports, product reviews, stories, and other nonsense...

Gentlemen,
Prefer stream and small creek fishing.  Sometimes on the river. But definately anyplace where it is cool.  I'm not a big fan of the heat.  Cumberland river in the spring (late).  Elk (upper) in the fall.  But mostly anyplace where I can catch some fish and just be with friends.
