double barreled

What are some thoughts on using the new cross-bows that can hold & fire two arrows while only being cocked once ?  sam

    Dumb gimmick.....doubt it will be legal in PA nor should it be.

     It has two sets of limbs, two strings. Each set need to be cocked to in order to fire 2 shots. It has two triggers.  Other than a fast follow up shot, it really isnt any different than a regular crossbow.
     
    I see nothing about it that "should" be illegal. No real difference in concept to a double barrel two trigger shotgun.
     
    All that said, I have little interest in owning one. I enjoy watching the progression of hunting equipment.

    The Bureau of Wildlife Protection has said it is legal in this state as it has two limbs, two strings, two triggers.

    To each their own. I don't see myself choosing one of these over a conventional crossbow but it does have some advantages. On a backcountry hunt, for example, you still have a functioning bow is a problem develops with one set or limbs or string.

    Just put together and shot some arrows through the new Twinstrike. The arrow from the bottom rail impacts about 1.5 inches low at 20 yards.

    Looks like thats just about how much lower it is than the upper.
    Remember way back in the muzzel loader days when the 2 shot rotating barreled guns came out?

    Yep. Supposedly, the arrows will converge to the same POI at 50 yards. Hopefully this weekend I will get to stretch it out some more. I plan to be carrying the Twinstrike on an upcoming fenced hunt. Had three hog hunts cancelled down south due to Covid so I am itching to shoot a pig or two.
