First timer: Steelhead

I live just North of Wash. DC. and planing a fishing trip this weekend.  I haven't fished Erie in 30 years and was hoping for some advice.  My brother and I want to try the rivers and going through the ice on Presque.  I understand Elk, and Walnut seem to be the hot spots.  Upper or lower, bait, ...?   Thanks

    lower elk will be the only thing open.  PI is all through the ice... Thats a big trip and there has not been a significant amount of ice limits.. You could either be wasting your time or having the day of your life depending on th barometer.
