Hey weather guys... FU.  Why is it pouring rain?  Forecast all week said no rain today.  We all picked the wrong profession.

Must remember Sam when the weatherdude says x percent chance of rain, it means x percent of the "area" will see rain.

Our problem.... what the hell "X" area are they talking about?

Talk about being able to cover ones xxx for not being able to perform ones occupation???

They can all kiss my X. 😂😂😂

Why is it that the 10% chance of rain always wins out over the 90% of being fair? For all the sophisticated weather equipment available, (one station claims the most powerful Doppler radar in the area.), they still manage to get it wrong.

It was beautiful on the lake after that BS morning was over.  Spent 4 hours or so on the tub banging out nice sized crappies.  Really nice late afternoon trip.

Looks like a nice weather break for Friday night... but the lake is going to be 3 feet high and a coffee colored mud pit.  Thinking of just bagging it.  Nothing's going to be finding bait in that soup.  SIGH.  I hear it is lovely in Tampa right now.

Sam no better time to be tossing buzzbaits, jerk baits, spinner baits, aaaaand even them goofy floaty worm like thingys, along shore.

Just remember, when you see the surface bust open "count to one before you set the hook" aaaaaand dont forget, casting parrelel to shore.

Ehhh, no guarantees.... implied.

I left my lacrosse Aerohead boots at Bear Run launch. Today Friday the 31st I figure I might as well take a shot maybe somebody picked them up. Thanks in advance. I don't live far from the launch when I realized I left them, I went back and they were gone like I said I figured I'd take a shot in the dark

Anybody up for takin this guy out on a boat? I'm really dyin to throw some jerks for big hybrids up there. I can't really expect to catch any from shore I'm sure.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

I highly doubt the alewives are getting depleted by guys throwing nets.

Less baitfish better your chances of catching ...that's why the spring bite is best in my book.

There is no shortage of alwives or shad on Arthur.  If you aren't seeing them, you aren't looking in the right places.  There are massive schools of them all over the place all times of the year.  Even when there is a die off they are still there; only the big ones die.  In the heat of summer when you can't find 8-9 inchers the schools of 1-2 inchers are thick.  No way any amount of cast netting is hurting that population.

I've got to agree on the cast nets not doing much on the shad population.

That said, I can see it as a way for PFBC to stock less wipers though.  They are stocked, at least part of the reason, for controlling the alewife and gizzard shad population.  Why not charge anglers to do that for you?

I haven't made it out late night like I would like to, with my motor giving me issues this year.  But I did make it out 4 nights this year, and didn't notice any decrease in the bait activity from years past.  I have noticed the past few years, the average size fish that I catch is much lower than it was 10 years ago.  Which is likely due much more with the amount of wipers being killed, whether taken home for consumption or guys fishing for them in the heat and thinking they will survive C&R.

Launched out of Daniels and trolled down to the 422 bridge. The motor started sputtering and died. Tried all the tricks I knew just couldn't get it to fire. Called the Daniels Marina they told me to call the park office for a tow. Called the park office and they told me to call Crescent who work out of the boat rental place. Anyone want to venture a guess how much they wanted to tow us back to Daniels?

Yikes. If I saw you out there today, I would have pulled you. My motor issues this year have a whole new respect for others with the same.

I did try to help some kids get their blow up raft. But couldn’t fit into the bush with my Bimini... Was 1-2 fow too, and figured my prop or Bimini was not worth it.

Fishing was tough to say the least. High, muddy, hot, probably a few other negatives... But my motor ran okay. Sorry Rippinlip, I know how you feel. At least yours didn’t happen when the fishing was good. Best wished getting that sucker figured out when things heat back up, or before.

I've towed countless people. A call to the Park office is a waste of time.Sorry, we can't help you.We worked on it yesterday. I took the gas line off before the card and pumped a liter of gas out and immediately saw the problem.....water in the gas. With all this rain I think the vent is bad on my gas tank letting water in. Got it running but will have to pull it out to have the carb cleaned. It will only stay running at higher rpms. Classic dirty carb issues.

I thought it would be more.

Back when the State Team Bass tournament was held on Erie, I think it was in 1998 or thereabouts, a guy in our club swamped his boat and the tow bill was $400 to drag it in — upside down.

The poster formally known as Duncsdad

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

GOOD GRIEF Rippin, that do sucks but I guess the gooder part, just a little water in the fuel and no costly motor repair bill.

Before tearing things completely apart ya might consider purging your fuel lines and changing the filter then run "SeaFoam" mixed with fresh gas.

Also, some boat insurance companies may offer towing assistance. Guyz be surprised what your boat insurance may or may not cover.

Also also, (😁) guyz might be surprised to find out "you aint covered" if towing another boat.

Stupid insurance companies.

I really shouldn't complain. I rarely break down. I'm more upset about missing out on the last two beautyous non humid no rain days. My spring/summer fishing so far has been sub par.

No problem expressing one's frustration especially when good fishing weather has been few and far between then to break down, and get virtually no assistance without the need to pay.

Hell I complain because there's nothing to complain about. 😉

Got the boat back from Bob Warren boat sales today. I was on the right track. Water in gas.....so we replaced the gas can. Primer bulb rubber was breaking down from the ethanol in the gas.....replaced that too. New plugs. Not too bad.
