DOE TAGS

Don't forget you can send for tags this Friday eve.Don't think there will be a prob. to get one in the first round in most areas. Very interesting info on the numbers with +& - for the year & what day that that area sold out last year. Good luck getting the area that you want.  sam

Be my first year, in 30+ plus years, not to be there.😢

First time in 38 years or so that I didn't send in for my doe tag the first day they were available. Since I primarily hunt 2A and 2B, there is no rush but it sure felt weird not filling out that application.

Same here.   Mailed mine Monday.  Probable first time in 50 years did not send mine in early.  2C increased the amount for the second year in a row.

I didn’t bother to send at all. I hunt in a CWD area, so I bought my DMAP tag over the counter at the time I purchased my license. Because it is a CWD permit, does are fair game anytime any season is in (including the first day of firearm season), with the proper weapon, of course.

It sure is a change from when I was a kid and doe tags were not a given (it was also “one and done back then, so if you got a buck, the doe tag was useless), so we would drive the whole way to the Clearfield courthouse on the Sunday before they were due(if it were mailed and got there early, it was rejected) because they had a dedicated mailbox for doe applications.

Then you crossed your fingers for weeks until the tags or the rejection showed up.

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

This is why I seldom gamble,I didn't get drawn yet with approx. 5000 issued in my draw area.  lol I am sure that I will get one eventually. This way of checking with a computer in real time is one of the best things that the PGC & the state treasurers have come up with. I think that it is fun looking to see when & if you got drawn.   sam
