Got pymy to cough up a few this afternoon. 2 on the first drift.....then the wind got kind of fickle and let up quite a bit. Guess I should've went earlier when the wind was really pumping, but didn't feel like dealing with the crappie tournament. Sifted through a lot of cats to get the third one. Nice healthy fish for pymy.

 Nice ones C_S.

Picked these up wading yesterday before heading home. Cold, windy & wet to say the least. I didn't last long with a busted up ankle lol.

 Funny!

I only bet on who has to do the cooking & dishes.

Hope to head back later in the week to build a new porch & a little fishing.
This was one branch that snapped in two taking the porch with it. I was in the middle(between) when it fell, purdy cool! Was gonna trim it last spring but a pair ov Wood Ducks took up home in it in May. So that's good, killing 2 byrds with one stone,

80 degrees and the wind was pumping so I couldn't help but give it a shot at Walter again. When I pulled up to the boat launch my inner voice told me to just take the little 14 footer home, but the dog was looking at me like "we're going right?" I tried to tell her it would be a nightmare getting the boat back on the trailer, but her mind was made up. Fought our way through the extra heavy chop and finally got to where I wanted to be. I don't say it often, but the wind was just too much today. Made a few drifts that took literally a few minutes each, then decided it was in vain. Drifted another area that was slightly calmer since I was already out there and trying to put the boat back on the trailer was not an option at that point. No luck. It finally let up a hare and I made a run for the launch, but was a total pain trying to keep the boat on the trailer with the cross wind. Got wet up to my azz, but managed to get it loaded. Dann dog and her boat rides 😀😀😀

Nice catchin Crappie. 👍 I'd be most happy to lend a hand cleanin up your storm damage but my chain saw, is buried waaaaaay back deep somewhere in a storage unit.

Quite a crowd fishin 'round the 285 underpass bout 3:30ish today so I said the heck with that noise, and went and enjoyed me a samidge with fresh cut fries at "Lil Bit's".... followed by a nap.😴😴😴 ummm, after I got home. 😊

If yinz was there and heard somebody trying to keep from choking, that was me trying to regain my breath while inhaling, after dumping toooo much "Malt Vinegar" on my fries.

Dad-burned good batch of vinegar to say the least. Fries were even better.🍻

Thanks but have most cleaned up in the yard. Guy coming Saturday to drop and stack the widow maker near the cemetery for $300. Was gonna do it myself but dang old lady said "NOPE!!" I should drop it tomorrow & pocket the 3 bills

Cricks were flooded today, looked like flowing diarrhea. Took nap after fishing then played with cultured stone for a bit. Might be fished out for a bit.

The dog and I tried to dance with Walter again this afternoon with little luck. Lake had a nice chop, but it didn't really work out. Was all over the area I was fishing, but didn't pick one up until after the first hour and a half. 2 fish the that were 15" on the money got to go back and grow up some. Back at it again soon. Good luck out there!

The dog giving me the "there ain't no fish in this lake" look

Traveled across the 285 causeway about 2:30 PMish this afternoon and I ain't sayin nothin but there sure looked like, a small fleet of boats all hangin real close on the west and just to the south.

That's all I'm gonna say about that cause yinz know I dont spot burn.😝

On another note I'd like to thank McDonalds for this case of heartburn and things yet to happen. 😣

Gonna go out and give it another shot this afternoon. Hopefully the fish will cooperate.

I don't know what your lure of choice is for casting Captain, but I would say anything in perch color would be a great choice. The few we caught the other week were gorged on small perch and puking them up all over the place in the boat. Reminded me of pulling perch out of the deep water in Erie. Maybe the fish just aren't hungry??

Did it one time years ago. You'll spend 80% of your time trying to get over, under and around downed trees.

You know its slow at pymy when the report has a lot less action than the "restaraunts around pymatuning" thread. I wonder which one serves the best walleye sammich, cause it ain't at my house at the moment. As for fishing, I hope to make it out tomorrow or Saturday and have some better luck. Being buried at work is really putting a damper on my fishing season and I need some mental health time on the lake. Good luck out there!

Was there a Walleye tournament on Pymy today?

Obviously I didn't make it around the lake today. My adventures started with "Wal" but unfortunately.... ended in "Mart" 😳 aaaand noooo, I didn't get to buy any stupid fishing thingy's.

OK.... so I had to go look for myself to see what kinda conditions the conditions was in.

Upon crossing the 285/85 causeway I've but one thing to say... "SURF'S UP".🏄

Good golly, the white caps🌊 was a rollin, south of the causeway today.

Some day I'll make it up there.  But I wasn't making that drive for a couple hours after the world stopped raining, so I went to Arthur.  Those tourney guys got wet in the morning, because that mystery storm went from Erie down to WV.  Was a beauty after though.

Considered going back out Sunday but saw that wind forecast.  I can believe the whitecaps, wind was mid teens noon on.  It was bending the oaks at my house.  No thank you!

I've done it in a kayak.  I caught some decent northerns but no musky.  The strainers and downed trees were interesting.  Lots of doing the limbo and occasionally having to paddle to shore and drag around the branches.  When i was there the water clarity was poor, but I wonder if that creek ever clears up?

We fished north end on Saturday, the blue navy was out in full force. I think the Dutchies rented every pontoon and 14 foot semi-v Linesville Marina had.

So I take it Pymy is a major bust this year for Walleye for most fishermen....and by most reports . How's the invasive weeds going up there ? Seems the PFBC goes completely quite when bad news is around ! How's the Inland Walleye program working in Western Pa. ?   F- is my rating ! ....but there's always Bluegill and dink Perch to catch .....lol

Seems lake Wilhelm is not alone on low fish production ....no wonder bait shops fade away or struggle in western Pa. now a days .....oh well there's always restaurants to go eat after a skunked trip !  Maybe I'll order fish next trip up ......lol
